During the Interview

the company is considering hiring YOU, so you are the product that they are thinking about buying. You must sell yourself to them. When you prepare for the interview, make sure you have a mental list of your most important skills and accomplishments. You can’t depend on the interviewer to ask you all the perfect questions to learn about your skills, so you may have to segue from questions asked in order to touch upon your most relevant skills.

Be Energetic and Sincere
Sit up straight, make eye contact, and speak sincerely about your interest in the position.

Listen to the interviewer
Don’t do all the talking. Do some listening too. Be careful to answer the questions the interview asks you.

Questions You Should Ask at the Interview
  1. Do you have any questions or concerns about my experience or skills for this job?
  2. How many people are you hiring for the position?
  3. What are the most important characteristics the person that you hire will have?
  4. What is the hiring process? When will I hear back from you?
  5. What is the career path for this position?
  6. What is the structure of your department and organization?
